Market Images Art Competition

Call for Entries ‘Market Images’ Art Competition

This competition will be on display in the Saint John City Market from April 23rd – May 5th The works will be judged by the public and winners will be announced on May 7. The works will hang until May 12th with the artists name and contact information.

Prizes

  1. $100. City Market Gift Certificate.
  2. $75. City Market Gift Certificate.
  3. $50. City Market Gift Certificate.
    4. The voting public will be eligible to win a $25. Gift Certificate.
  • Works in oil and acrylic paint only.
  • Deadline for entry forms is 5pm March 23, 2007
  • Deadline for submissions is April 9th, 2007
    • Please read competition guidelines carefully.

Guidelines

  • There is a limit of one submission per artist.
  • All submissions will be unframed on gallery canvas only. (no masonite or canvas board)
  • Dimensions of work must be no larger than 11” X 14” and be ready to hang.
  • Submit works in oil or acrylic paint only.
  • Submissions must be artist’s original work completed within the last three months prior to April 9th.
  • Principal theme of artwork will be ‘Market Images’
  • All works will be judged by market visitors. Competing artists may not vote. Please do not sign your work until after the competition is over.
  • Deadline for entry forms will be 5pm March 23, 2007
  • Deadline for submissions is April 9, 2007
  • All submissions to the Market Images Art Competition will remain the property of the artist and be ready for return to the artist no later then May 14.
  • Submitted artwork may be delivered to and picked up at the Deputy Market Clerks Office, Saint John City Market, 47 Charlotte St. during business hours.
  • Special arrangements for delivery and pick up can be made by calling 658-2820.
    • Please read the attached entry form carefully.
  • You may also pick up forms at the City Market, 47 Charlotte St. or the Saint John Art Club, 3rd level Brunswick Square.
